Staging in dates
Your staging in date depends on the number of employees on your PAYE scheme
Each employer will be given a staging in date. Your staging in date is based on the number of employees you held on your
PAYE scheme as of the 1st April 2012. Any changes to the work force after this date will not affect your staging in date.
You will be notified 12 months before your staging date and sent a reminder 3 months before your staging date.
Employers can choose to bring a staging in date forward to coincide with other key dates to the company such as the
start of a new company year. You
must, however, notify the The Pensions Regulator (TPR) one calendar month before the new chosen staging date.
